Keep in Touch with your Clients

There is a way to keep your clients informed and encourage return business

One thing that most of us have in common is a level of annoyance about the amount of email we receive. Most of the email is usually unwanted and ends up unread or in the trash. For legitimate companies it is a massive challenge for them to come up with clever ways to advertise their services and keep in touch with past clients without sounding like a pest. That's when you need to shift your business expertise into fifth gear and find a niche that you can use to get across your message.

What most companies utilize is some kind of newsletter, which can be hosted on their website and emailed to their database of contacts. If you don't have a database of contacts, start one today! Make sure that all individuals in your database of contacts do indeed want to receive email from your company. To get this information, either ask your customer's permission verbally, use an internet form on your website, and/or send an e-mail to your database of contacts asking if they are okay with what you're planning–just make sure that there is an EASY way to opt out. Sending email to those whom you don't have permission results in the classification of your email(s) as spam; unsolicited email.

As for the content of your message, that has more to do with your business. Current information concerning your field is a big one, as are new product or service announcements, and informative articles!
